I saw The Roar of the Greasepaint the Smell of the Crowd in Boston Pre Broadway Tryout. I saw most of them (inc. Wonderful Flops)from 1964 thru 1977 beginning attending alone as a child. The music was so memorable It still can echo in my mind. Thanks for the poster and photos attached...nice memory also of Newley and Ritchard.

Angela Lansbury escorted by young Actor Micheal Jason waaaay back in 1971 in Boston at the first matinee preview of "Follies" at the Colonial Theater.Angela Lansbury was in Boston tryout of musical Prettybelle at the Shubert which had already announced it was closing with just a few performances left. Angela Lansbury....my idol appeared gracious and friendly and allowed photos . I was able to tell her I saw everything she did in Boston and also Prettybelle in Boston and she said "DID YOU REALLY" once in limo she rolled down window and still chatted with group I was able to tell her I saw her in King and I and she acknowledged me n smiled.. AH the best lady and a fan for almost ah 40 years....ah life was f good today!

Saw her in Cactus Flower...stage doored it and didn't see her but met Brenda Vaccaro and she was very nice and put her cigarette down to sign my program.
Applause in London and Sweet Bird of Youth in London.Oh what wonderful

Re Zan Charisse I also verified just now on IMDB she was the niece having met Zan about 1970,71? I was apprenticing at the South Shore Music Circus in
Cohassett, Mass and Zan Charisse played Louise opposite Janis Paige's Rose.I was so excited to fly to London and see Gypsy several times,and again in Boston.Wow Ms.Lansbury rocked the audience, I can still feel the excitement in the audience during her Rose'sTurn bows.

1971 Colonial Theater Boston. Walking into the theater to attend the first preview of Follies just a few feet away from Angela Lansbury and an actor who
Were appearing togeather in Prettybelle. No memory in the theater can top this one for me.

I met Bernadette Peters when I worked as an apprentice in the 70's at the South Shore Music Circus in Massachusetts I remember seeing the Bus pull up with her and the Chorus.The musical was "WHERE'S CHARLEY" Over a weeks time I chatted with her and watched her rehearsals,she was so friendly.....Who knew?
