And a 77% on the Popcornmeter on said page. Which says more about the movie than any review.

Just saw this and thought it was absolutely magical. I can't remember the last time I ugly-cried as badly as at the end of this movie. It might be the themes of people caring about and and being kind to each other or the idea of good people rising up against an evil empress, but something completely struck a nerve in me in the current political climate.
This movie truly reminded me of one of those tacky fairytale movies from the 90s, but in the best possible way. It

As far as I can tell, it's not done by AI (and the AI mention in Cynthia's post is of a different incident). Besides, people make fan posters and edits for things like this all the time."
The "original person"'s answer to Cynthia's post made me lol...

Recommended TV shows with lots of theater actors Aug 22

I've started watching Death and other Details on Disney+ recently. It's in the theme of Knives Out and the recent Hercule Poirot movies and quite entertaining.
It has Lauren Patten (Jagged Little Pill) and Mandy Patinkin in it, among others!

The Mountaintop 2011 - Set Design Jan 1
2021, 09:55:24 AM
Happy New Year Everyone! :)
I've searched the web for more info on David Gallo's Scenic Design for The Mountaintop from 2011.
It seems that apart from the whole set being a meticulous recreation of the original hotel room there was some kind of big reveal/scene change that blew people's minds.
Unfortunately I can't find anything going more into detail on that! Can anyone explain?

Supermarkets on Stage Jul 11

Hey everyone,
this might be a weird question, but:
are there any plays/musicals/shows that circle around a supermarket? Maybe the show is set in a supermarket or the leading character is a cashier? Or even just a song or a monologue?
Anything that comes to mind?
Any input would be highly appreciated!
Thanks! :)

Did you actually hear Megan Hilty perform "Let me be you star", BN2? That was for from "nailed that performance"... she was struggeling, too! And it's quite stupid to say that 75% is enough for Idina. That's clearly not what she meant. What she said is that even if you give 100 percent you'll never be perfect and you don't have to be. So judging her by saying she is lazy and doesn't even want to do the job right is just plain wrong!

God, I hate when people complain that some sang a song in a different key... As long as it sounds great, I'm fine with every key you could sing a song in! It really doesn't matter if a song has a Eb in it and if someone can scream that note...

SeaWorld Audtions in San Antonio - Jan 10 Jan 6

A Former SeaWorld Employee's Response to "Blackfish". I've been asked often and recently about my opinions towards this "amazing documentary" that "just came out" on Netflix called "Blackfish". Having worked for SeaWorld for a few years, people are always curious as to what my opinion is. "Julie, have you seen it? What do you think?" Yes. I have seen it, multiple times. My opinion of it is this: I completely respect and agree with the underlining message- whales do not

Rocky to take the Winter Garden Apr 29

I've seen the show twice here in Hamburg. It's certainly not the best show I've ever seen, but it definitely has its moment! The "star" of the show is definitely the set. For the final fight the ring glides from the stage into the auditorium while the people in the front rows take their new seats on the stage. It's pretty impressive! Since I'm I huge fan of Ahrens & Flaherty I was pretty disappointed by the music. There are a few really nice songs (especially the stuff

ROCKY to make Broadway Debut in 2013 Nov 21

When I first heard about Stage Entertainment's plans to bring this show to Hamburg I had this biggest doubts this could work... Saw the first preview two weeks ago and I have to admit: it's a pretty great show! The music is definitely the strongest point, but the book, the direction, the actors and especially the sets are amazing!
