Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 1/7/18

I'm always concerned with shows that have dropped below 70% entering into the barren wasteland that is January, unless they have already paid off investors and can be run into weekly profit at that point until "the landlord" wants to take a run at a new tenant and a higher gross.

Producers use the same spreadsheets that list payouts at potential gross percentages, and expensive shows that haven't paid back and that can't maintain above 70% aren't paying out to

Yes, but the open was at the front of the week, and the paid percentage is low. Moreover, jump onto Ticketmaster and try to buy seats for any performance from tomorrow to February. And January is wide open.

"And did you see this week's box office report? Second highest grossing week ever.  Wow.  That's some effective boycott."

"Yep. Imagine that."

I just came here to suggest that the show boycott has been so successful that DEH just broke the house record...in Noah's first week.

"I cough in your general direction while loudly unwrapping small plastic candies right behind you."
