Which role has the shortest on stage time?
 Oct 23 2018, 02:07:14 AM
Pirelli in Sweeney Todd. His first song "The Contest" is usually cut in half for time, his second song "Pirelli's Death" is only a few lines and is cut im the movie and... well, he dies in act one, unlike the other 8 characters. If you count non singing roles, theres also Mr. Fogg who only has one scene (tho i think he's usually played by someone in the chorus)
The Wolf, Granny and Cinderella's Mother from Into the Woods would also count if not for doubling. Cinderella's Father on the other

Thanks for that clip! And also, if you have any info on that video recording, my email is momis@etherninja.org (I have some info on the 2014 production with Bryn Terfel and Emma Thompson, if that helps)

As you can probably tell by my name, I'm a big sweeney todd fan. I've seen the movie, listened to the obc, watched the 1982 tour, the 2001 and 2014 concerts (the latter of which took FOREVER for me to be able to find). It seems I've seen every official video production of this show... except for one. According to CastAlbums.org, theres one video production I haven't seen: a Paris production in the theatre du chatelet. Wikipedia has no mention of this video (tho it does mention that the productio
Chicago: Funny Honey/Hot Honey Rag

I was whistling the Hot Honey Rag the other day and noticed... Hey, part of the song sounds like Funny Honey! Has anyone else noticed this? (It certainly explains the similar title; the weird thing is it seems like an odd connection at first, but then you remember Hot Honey Rag is the closing number and Funny Honey is the first song Roxie sings (excluding one word in All That Jazz in the movie, but thats irrelevant)

Thank you, but all of those are only previews of the songs and I already knew of that page's existence; I wanna listen to the full recording digitally, but it seems I can't buy a digital copy :P oh well

Thanks anyways

Sweeney Todd 2000 concert recording

Hello everyone. As my username likely indicates, I am a huge fan of Sweeney Todd. I love the 1982 video with Hearn and Lansbury, I love the 2001 concert with Hearn and LuPone, I even love the movie with Depp and Bohnam Carter (blasphemy, I know). I have additonally listened to the Cariou/Lansbury OBCR and the Film soundtrack. I wanted to listen to every official audio recording as well as the video recordings, but... I can't seem to find where to listen to the 2000 concert recording onlin

re: is there some part in a musical that you think you'd be perfect for?

I think I'd do great in almost any role in Sweeney Todd, except for Anthony and Johanna (I don't dislike them but I don't think I get them enough to portray them in an interesting way).

I also think I'd do great playing the Witch as a drag role in Into the Woods, or alternatively I could be the Baker or the Wolf
