Ok but is nobody talking about the fact that this will be the first new show produced by Scott Rudin??? Meaning that Rudin is coming back this next season

Jamie Lloyd’s EVITA on Broadway Jun 12

I actually just now heard that EVITA is aiming for a spring 2026 run at the Majestic, and considering that that theater has a very extensive outer balcony, it definitely makes sense...

I know I know he doesn’t have to be gay. But I just wish they can cast all gay characters for gay roles. There are a lot of straight characters there as well so why not cast the gays for the gays."
Hear me out on this but...Colman Domingo???

Actually though, that’s a fun announcement. We’re eating good today with this and Ragtime dropping A+ ads. All three of them look hot as hell and it makes me want to see Chess for once instead of just listening to the greatest hits."
Yeah seriously whoever did these advertisements for both this and Ragtime, you certainly deserve a raise

They seem to be going with a completely young cast for this production and I’m all here for it. Gonna be very curious to see how critics and audiences will react in London (that is if it plans on coming to Broadway next season)

And I think it's announcements like these that are important so we all can update our nomination predictions as the season goes on and with this last round of eligibility it's a good opportunity to make those la

That seems overly generous.
"Somehow, I enjoyed the overall experience ofSmash. Aside from Ashmanshas and a few diverting numbers, the show is undeniably unmoored. But isn’t that ultimately true to the brand? This production embraces failure; it hugs its own shambles. And for diehardSmashappreciators, perhaps that—in a meta way!—is right for the material: Part of the appeal ofBombshellhas always been that it hadbombwritten right into it. To be fair, this production isn’t really a bomb; it doesn’t go hard enough for that. It’s the shell of a bomb.""
There’s more to it: “Behind every hit musical…is a hot mess,” teases one of Smash’s advertising taglines. But what’s behind a flop? Maybe it’s something like the warm mess we get here. They throw spaghetti at the wall and, when nothing sticks, they shrug and serve the spaghetti.

I disagree, like the above poster said its grosses are better than BOOP currently. I think this will probably end up being a Back to the Future, where it gets poorly received by critics gets maybe one or two nominations but none of that actually matters because it’s selling well anyway&h
