Les Miz at the Paper Mill aka - the new tour

The new production of "Les Miz" is clearly more dramatic than the original. The actors are allowed to express much more emotion outside of the music, and it raises the production to an extraordinary new level.
We saw Ron Sharpe as Valjean, and he was tremendous. I was a bit disappointed with Andrew Varela's Javert. He lacked the kind of ominous presence I've seen in some other Javerts. In the original touring company, Charles Pistone had an almost Darth Vader-like presence on the stage,
