Isn't the board a place to express opinion?

As others have said, art is subjective. Just my opinion.

You're obviously a fan, EvanK. Good for you for sticking up for JH.

Not good in Sex in the city.

Not good in The Secret Life of Bees.

But happy to know that she has a lot of fans cheering her on.

As for Jennifer Holliday, 1981 was a long, long time ago. Sigh.

Really, Rainbowjude?

Perhaps you can tell me how/why you think Jennifer Hudson was a magnificent Effie.

With the exception of the big song, JH was wooden/ Quite simply, she can't act.

(Sorry about hijacking the thread, folks.)

Very sad.

Sad interview.

Sad performance.

Sad wig.

But, i gotta say, I thought Jennifer Hudson was pretty terrible in the movie version of "Dreamgirls." She sang the song well, but the rest of the performance was sorta dismal.

I find it unwatchable. Always have.
When do Hugh Jackman tickets go on sale?

This show is worth every penny. We paid for premium tickets in Toronto and absolutely loved the performance.

Enjoy.

Riedel : Hugh Jackman One-man Variety Show at the Broadhurst from Oct 25

I bought a pair of "premium tickets" for the show in Toronto and it was worth every penny.

HJ is an amazing performer and the show is incredibly entertaining.

The thought of seeing HJ at the Broadhurst, my favourite bway house, has me thinking of a NYC weekend this fall.

@redmustang. I think you might be in the minority with your opinion. I thought that the company did a great job during the Tony broadcast. In fact, it was that performance that made me take a chance on buying a ticket to see CMIYC.

It's so unfortunate that this show wasn't able to make a go of it. It was a huge surprise for me. So entertaining.

And what a score!!

Unpopular opinions you hold

Wicked is absolute junk.

Jennifer Hudson was terrible in Dreamgirls.
