Just wanted to let people know about Stage Door Records' new 'Lost Broadway' album series. Following on from our 'Lost West End' albums, the 'Lost Broadway' series will focus on celebrating Broadway's forgotten and obscure musicals. Each album will be dedicated to specific years in Broadway history, launching with 'Lost Broadway 1961' on May 31st. The album comprises of a 2CD set with Disc 1 featuring 'Original Broadway Cast Recordings' and Disc 2 made up of 'Covers And Other Rarities' (including over 20 tracks never before on CD). The album features songs from '13 Daughters', 'The Conquering Hero', 'Donnybrook!', 'Kwamina', 'Kean', 'The Gay Life', 'Subways Are For Sleeping', 'The Happiest Girl In The World' and more.

Agreed! Interestingly, when Pat's solo version (from her 'Broadway 59' album) was released as a single in the UK it became a top 50 hit in the singles chart. It's definitely Pat's signature song!

Just wanted to let people know about a project we've been working on with Pat Suzuki for the past year. On April 6th, two albums will be released which will effectively represent Pat's complete back catalogue as a solo recording artist. 'Complete Album Series' contains her 4 solo albums (including the Grammy nominated 'Broadway 59' ) and 'Singles And Rarities' compiles all Pat's non-album single releases and tracks for an unreleased 1965 album titled 'Pat!'. The unreleased tracks include a showstopping version of Sondheim's 'Everybody Says Don't' which is worth the album price alone!

Just wanted to bump this thread as Stage Door will be issuing a limited edition release of Barbara Cook's debut solo album 'Songs Of Perfect Propriety By Dorothy Parker' on June 17th. The release forms part of Stage Door's 'Collector's Series' a line of limited edition CD products presented in the retro style of a miniature LP and limited to just 500 units. Just wanted to let people know about the forthcoming Dorothy Loudon album 'At The Blue Angel and Other Rarities (1951-1960)'. The album celebrates Loudon's early career and features the debut CD release of her 1959 live album recorded at New York's Blue Angel. The CD also includes all of Dorothy's rare singles released between 1951-1955 and concludes with a track from the 1960 industrial musical 'Sing A Song Of Sewing'. Although the CD isn't in stores until January 15th, 2016 - the album is expected in stock from the Stage Door Records website in approximately 2 weeks so customers who order directly should have the album in time for Christmas.
