You didn’t really say much different than what I did. The house they want is currently occupied and Tonys will probably affect whether it will be free in the fall. However, they have a home otherwise, and there is a rumor of where that is (again, unless a different Shubert house - the one they want - opens up).  They have an agreement with the Shuberts so we know it will go to one of those houses. 

I think they know where they’re going or at least have options depending on what happens in the next few months. My guess is they’ve signed some sort of agreement with the Shuberts and have a theatre unless a better one opens up in time.

It’s because the AB had a concert tonight and released their album, I believe. They announced at the concert.

Agreed. HORR is a better show than it gets credit for.

The Wiz is a 20 week limited engagement set to go back out on tour. It's also selling moderately well... its future wasn't wrapped up in Tony noms.

Seems like a deliberate message to the mostly Chicago-based production team, if I had to guess.

I personally was expecting it to get a lot of unearned nominations and I think the noms actually went to better shows, for the most part. Lorin should have been nominated for Tommy though (and I would also argue HORR).

In all honesty, that show should have at least gotten best choreo. and sound design nominations.

I wonder if they'll try to keep Lempika open through Tony voting for Eden. 

I think a lot depends on tomorrow. I don't think they can run through the summer.

You can go to TKTS, sit in the orchestra, and not pay $500.

Shucked didn't close because of ticket sales though... had it not ended prematurely, who knows what it would have done. I think it probably would have gone through the summer and closed right before Death Becomes Her transferred, and that probably would have gone to the Nederlander with Tommy at the Lunt as originally planned.

 

Show is at 7:30, so probably around 10.

Should be fall 2024. I believe they have a house lined up (not sure if contracts have been signed) but things are in motion.

That's correct. Tomorrow is opening and Monday is press opening.
