I am so happy to hear  this.... I knew it. There are many naysayers who are pulling apart the show and Beanie's "instrument" and her key but most people go to enjoy the show and I think most will also love every minute of it.....

Creepy. Just sayin'.

What's creepy? That is the word for word lyric from "If a Girl Isn't Pretty"  The song is all about the way Fanny looks.

Uh... have you seen the performance?

No I have not. However, I have seen a clip of her and I say she will win the Tony for the excitement regarding this revival and a greater agenda at play to pay respect to and to advance inspired casting.

Would producers risk so much money by going with an average talent? It sounds like audiences are loving her. I think they should have had an audition process, but whatever...

I saw Barbra Streisand in it in 1964, I still have that Playbill! I was not blown away. I remember thinking: where's the spark? I was however blown away by her TV special: My Name Is Barbra.

I will tell you this: the best show I ever saw in my entire life was Hello Dolly, in 196

I am seriously baffled. With all the impeccable trained singers out there with experience in musical theater, why would the producers go with "mediocre?" Why would they leave any wiggle room for the lead's vocals to be criticized? Did they have many auditions? There are so many questions about this casting. The last thing I would imagine they would want is a "Fanny" who was not jaw dropping phenomenal. And plus is there any chemistry between this Nick and Fanny?&n

1. Beanie is cute and has a lovely little voice, but the part is way too big for her. This part needs acting and singing chops. She is just not right for the part. I needed someone in that part that would just blow you away.

2. I didn’t get the connection between Fanny and Nicky. Did not feel any love between them. You just didn’t convince me that Nicky would fall for her. This is a m
