Agreed 100%. I blame the producers, not the actors. The actors do the best they can and they just want a job and to be able to work and be paid. I get that. But it falls on the producers/director/theater staff to make these calls. And I think it's gone too far. It sucks to have to cancel a show but offer refunds. Don't get Broadway audiences "normalized" to this type of thing. Broadway is supposed to be the cream of the crop. Start acting like it again.

I thought it was really tacky and unprofessional to have an understudy go out with a script in hand. I get that stuff happens in the theater and last minute changes have to be made- but if your understudy can't go out without being off book then cancel the show. I didn't pay what I paid for a ticket to see someone reading..
