DEAD OUTLAW To Open On Broadway April 27, 2025 Dec 19

Was anyone thinking DBH was the frontrunner? It seemed like Maybe Happy Ending is/was the current critically beloved favorite. (For what it's worth,BWW's review roundup of MHE has it with an average rating of 89.2%; Dead Outlaw's off-Broadway run was 78.3.)"
MHE isno front runner with operation mincemeat, DBH, (possibly)women have curves etc in the mix. DEAD OUTLAW degraded these other showshard today.
Reviews / broadwayworld aggregated reviews don’t matter. Last year Suffs was 75, Illinoise was 80, Hell’s Kitchen was 68. The outsiders was 69.5. We know how that went."
Good point. But I think it’s too early to predict who will win the Tony Award for Best Musical right now.

Geez! What is wrong with you people? I mean, I know you guys are entitled of your opinions, but hoping to flop is not a good thing to say. I mean, you don't even know what the musical would be like! I know it did a workshop thing earlier ago, but that doesn't mean that it'll flop. Besides, it's too early to call Smash either a flop or a hit. And I'm not going to say it'll win a lot've Tony Awards, because that is way too early for that too. Sure, Smash the TV

Is It Wrong That I Want A DIsney Musical To Win A Tony For Best Musical? Nov 17

I would love to see a George C. Wolfe Princess & the Frog. Or perhaps a Michael Arden Tangled with Donna Murphy bringing her Gothel to the stage!" Good point!

And I don’t mean that in a negative way, I mean they are popular art that is designed to appeal to a mass audience. It’s just like how Marvel movies don’t tend to win Oscars—they are popular entertainment, but not the type of “high art” that usually gets awards.
All the shows you complain are “controversial” or &ld

Well, it's been a habit of mine, but I agree.

Is It Wrong That I Want A DIsney Musical To Win A Tony For Best Musical? Nov 16

Hi,
I hope I don't get carried away on this, but every time I see a Disney musical that got nominated a Tony Award for Best Musical, I get excited. But when one of them didn't win depending which musical that I'm okay or not okay with in my opinion, I get very upset. I'm autistic, you know. Yes, I did hear The Lion King win a Tony Award for best musical, but I was too young to watch the Tony Awards back then. I started watching the Tony Awards in 2001. And wow, what a T

Disney’s HERCULES will transfer to the West End in 2025 Nov 16

I'm so nervous. I hope they fix the story Hercules. I want the Hercules musical to succeed so it can go to Broadway. I'll try not to expect to that it'll WIn a Tony Award for Best Musical or for now, an Olivier Award for Best Musical, but I hope Hercules is fixed and become a hit. P.S. Is it wrong that I want to see a Disney musical to Win the Tony Award for best musical?

First off, I want to thank you all for your reassurance that Disney will continue making Broadway shows with or without a Tony Award.
Second, not only my first post here in Broadwayworld.com, this is also my last post here. The reason why did this is to get this weird doom and gloom out of my chest. Also, I don’t live in New York and there maybe some musicals that I may not like and you will disagree with me. So, once again, thank you all for your reassurance ab

I Feel Like Disney Might Not Do Shows On Broadway Anymore Aug 21

Hi,
I beginning to feel like Disney might not do shows on Broadway anymore because the critics and the Tony Voters hate them now. Yes Lion King win a Tony Award for Best Musical, but that’s the only Disney musical that won Best Musical and it hadn’t won a second one for three decades. I was so excited for the stage version of Hercules, but it’s going to debut at the West End instead of Broadway, because maybe Disney is scared of Broadway critics and Tony vote
