The OCR Dec 9
2005, 08:14:53 AM
I'm beginning to wish the CD had never come out, as I can't stop playing it!!! I'm loving Expressing Yourself - it makes me laugh every time I hear it ("Shake that bum billy - it's big enough!" Other favourites from the CD are The Letter, Merry Xmas Maggie Thatcher, Electricity, The Letter (Reprise) and Deep Into The Ground. But I love the whole CD. Does anyone have any information on when the score is coming out?

Original Cast Recording - TV Commercial Dec 5
2005, 06:57:16 AM
I have just seen the TV commercial for the OCR in the commercial break for "This Morning". It features Liam singing Electricity in his blue shirt and he's looking really sweet. He does a big jump at the end - almost like the poster image of George. If anyone manages to record it, can they post it online. I'd also like to see the Joey feature from Blue Peter, as I forgot all about it!

I ordered my copy of the single CD version of the OCR from PowerplayDirect.com and I got an email a short time ago today (1 December) to say that it has been dispatched and should arrive in 3 - 6 working days - it'll be cool if it turns up before Monday!

Who's Singing what? Nov 29

It's definitely James on The Letter (Reprise) and it also sounds like him on Electricity. Think Liam is singing The Letter and Express Yourself.

Billy vs Michael Nov 15
2005, 08:34:54 PM
There can never be an equal amount of performance time between any of the Billy's and Michael's. The main reason is obvious - Michael appears on stage mainly for Expressing Yourself, dancing for Dad, the goodbye scene and for a couple of other small scenes. However, Billy is on stage for pretty much the whole show, therefore the Billy actors need more rest as their role is more demanding, so there would always have to be more Billy's than Michael's. The proper mix for BE is as we know 3

OCR Track list Nov 2
2005, 01:04:38 PM
Fizzipop - I've checked and play.com are actually the cheapest, as they don't charge for postage. Amazon would actually cost £13.45 once postage was added. I think I will actually get mine from HMV or another proper shop where I can actually see both versions and make up my own mind. I do have the Elton John tracks on Peachtree Road, but would like to see what the postcards are like.

I really don't think there will be a tour of Billy within the UK for a couple of years, at least. It took years for Phantom to tour and even then only did a few venues. If and when Billy tours, I imagine it will only be at these certain venues, such as Manchester Opera House, etc, who have a big enough stage and high enough Proscenium arch (the frame around the stage) to allow for the flying sequence. It's a shame, but don't hold your breath for a national tour like shows l

Film V. Theatre Oct 18

I cannot say for sure if Stuart Wells is still actively serving in the army or has been demobbed, but he decided to give up acting after BE to sign up. Interestingly though, he made a film in 2003 called The Reckoning, under the name of George Wells, so maybe he has left the army now and has returned to acting, but under a different name so he can shake of the gay cross-dresser from Billy Elliot image.

The movie Oct 17

Nobody can ever BETTER Jamie Bell's performance, as he is the original Billy. To a certain degree, every West End Billy will always be copying or trying to redefine Jamie's performance. I first came to watch the show having seen the film about 50 times and was prepared to be disappointed. Jamie gives such an innocent and beautiful performance as Billy, it would be hard to compare. However, even as such a cynic, when I saw BE at the VP for the first time, I was blown away (a

The Stage Door is on Victoria Street, the road a few yards to the left of the front of the theatre. You pass the road if you are coming from the tube station. The stage door is about half-way down the road on the right-hand side.

3 Recordings Oct 3
2005, 05:11:21 PM
There is a very simple way that the producers of the show could satisfy all us fans on the cast recording front - release the CD that they want to release and then offer the other versions as digital downloads on the official website for a small charge per track, like Napster or iTunes. This seems like the most sensible option to me, but will they think of it? Having said that, if 3 different CDs were released, I'd still buy them all!

The Children's Casting Director for Billy Elliot is Jessica Ronane. She would be the best person to write to, care of the theatre. Hope this helps.

Although the posters are available in the theatre, you can't get them by mail-order or online (unless you pay hugely inflated prices on ebay). They're only available if you go to the show or the theatre lets you in when the show's not on to buy merchandise. However, you could send a letter to the cast member of your choice and make sure you enclose a stamped envelope with your name and address on it. That's what I did with James and, although it took 3 months for a reply, I got one! Y

Hi, I'm new here, but I thought I'd share some information with you all that you'll probably want to know. I got a letter from James' mum, Cathy today, along with an autographed photo of James. This is what the letter said: "I just wanted to say sorry for the delay in our reply. James gets a lot of mail so it takes time to get through it. I have to reply for him, as he now has to concentrate on his GCSEs. James finished his run of 'Billy' on Saturday night. It was an a
