Billy on TV Today
 Nov 10 2005, 04:35:09 PM
I recorded it onto DVD. Over the weekend, I'm going to try and post it somewhere on the internet.

Keep your fingers crossed.

Just got caught up with a week's worth of posts - thanks to everyone for the news, reviews and pics.

But why does everyone let a small minority ruin this board for everyone.

There's a simple answer - if someone posts something provocative, just ignore it - replying to it merely fuels the fire.

Better still, block their posts from your list - it couldn't be easiier - go to Your Settings in the Site menu on the left side, then click the "Ignore Board Users" in the Messag

James Lomas Quiz
 Oct 21 2005, 04:10:14 PM
Hi everone,

Results of the JL quiz stand at loopy_lucy_loo with 2 and a half out of 6 - it WAS a really difficult quiz, and one which I have since realised over-stepped the bounds of privacy - so a couple of answers will not be revealed.

1. James travelled on his own on the train.

2. He had a length of that stringy cheese gripped in his teeth as he signed autographs.

3. To remain private.

4. George was playing Billy, and James was in the frontmost lef

Hi, and welcome.

Yes, the release at dress circle was posted here some time ago, but thanks for thinking of us.

The OCR will also be available from the theatre foyer from Monday (so rumour control has it!)

Day tickets at the VP
 Oct 21 2005, 07:09:53 AM
Day tickets at the VP are a bit difficult to get on a Saturday, because between 6 and 8 eastern european guys get in the queue at about 8 o clock to buy the day tickets for touting at greatly inflated prices outside the theatre at night.

It's easy to say that the VP should do something about this, but it is difficult to see just what COULD be done.

The door opens at 10 am, and the tickets (usually) go on sale at 12 noon, although they did start selling at 10:15 once (on the day

My feedback on last nights performance
 Oct 21 2005, 06:19:15 AM
Have you ever tried to do that thing with the tape - WITHOUT the pressure of 1500 people watching you - I'm surprised it EVER goes all the way back in. I've seen it jam too.

Please - keep up these wonderful new reviews coming. OK, so a lot of folk have seen the show, even more have already read loads of reviews, but each person will always have something new to add - not least of all, who played Billy, so that others, with a trip to the VP in the near future can play the game of guess who will be on stage on their visit. I and the family are going on Thursday afternoon - when I'll get the CD if it's on sale - woohoo.

Is it true, does anyone know, that whoever plays on Friday night will also do the Saturday matinee? It does make sense really, to let one crew have the full weekend off!

Onto my "Who's the biggest JL fan" quiz from yesterday - I've had a rethink about the issues involved here, and do not want to be seen to be compromising James's right to privacy, so at least one, if not two or three of the questions will not be answered. I'll mark the relevent ones in the original mail.

What James was eating is not a wierd thing to know - it was wierd to WATCH - when you know the answer, you'll see what I mean.

I'm almost certain it will be available in the foyer from Monday. I'm going into London on thursday, so will check it out then.

OK, James and Ashley's last night was September the 17th - okay. Exactly two weeks after that, James travelled down to London for a reunion with his pals.

Who is the biggest James fan?

1. Who did he travel from Sheffield to London with? *

2. What was he eating whilst signing autographs at the front of the stalls in the evening performance?

3. Why didn't he go to the matinee? *

4. Who was playing Billy in the evening performance that day, and f

You block who YOU want to block. I am not suggesting that everyone block any one poster in particular, but if someone's post annoys YOU, then block them - it's as simple as that.

If, by their own choice, everyone blocks one particular poster, then they will get no responses, and may get bored and go away.

They may, on the other hand, simply create a new account, but that would be spotted fairly quickly, and that account too could be blocked.

They'd soon get fed up and

Here's a possible solution.

If anyone dislikes the postings of any other board member, it is quite easy to exclude their postings from what you see.

Click "Your settings" at the bottom left of the window in the "SITE" section,, then in the "Message Board" section, there is a line beginning "Board Users" there is a link called "Ignore Board Users" Click that, and you can exclude the post from any board member you do not wish to see again.

So, if you disagree with someone's input to the discussion, then

A couple of members have pm'd me to ask where I got my profile pic.

Back in June, there was a program on british TV called "Strictly Come Dancing". While the judges were deliberating, the audience, and the viewers, were entertained by James and the ballet girls doinf the start number from the finale - and I just happened to record it.

That shot is his "moody and magnificent" look he gives straight to the camera at the end of the routine.

December the 3rd Tickets....
 Oct 18 2005, 02:22:00 AM
I've got tickets ordered for 12/3 both matinee and evening from Seetickets, but they haven't arrived yet. If I check the progress of my order on their website, I get the message "Waiting for these tickets to arrive in stock"

Is anyone else having the same problem?

The wrong music
 Oct 17 2005, 06:17:03 PM
Alan mentioned the wrong music at the start of Billy's Royal Ballet audition. I seem to remember that at the beginning of the run, back in May, it was a different piece of music. Anyone else confirm this?

The Script
 Oct 17 2005, 06:03:19 PM
This is definitely the day for new members - I've been watching this board for some time now, and just had to join in.

My choice for a script change - it is to ADD something. Whatever happened to the "Don't lose your blob" line from the film - I thought it was Soooo funny!
