Day tickets
 Jan 2 2006, 05:10:38 AM
Hi Jeff

They open the doors for Day Tickets when the Box Office opens at 10am, but you then have to wait until 12 until the day tickets go on sale. There are a few seats on benches just inside the door, so if you are among about the first 10 people or so you can get to sit for the next 2 hours, otherwise it's a case of standing or squatting on the floor.

As to what is the best time to get there can be fairly random, just depending how many other people want to queue on the day

Hiya dancing_girl and Jen.

Shame you went to Mamma Mia and not BE, cos I was there again today.... along with Jen and a few others from the board... who are probably posting messages on the other one... I really do find it hard to keep up!

Great show and interesting to see the new cast and the changes that have been made.

Great to see Liam and Ryan paired up together as they are now with new 'partners', on a regular basis. Liam is with Brad and Ryan is with Travis... m

Thanks Accy.

I kicked myself when I realised I'd forgotten to set the video for Blue Peter - even with all the reminders on here!, so thanks for uploading it.

What us Brits would do without you in Canada and Craig in South Africa keeping us supplied I don't know!! LOL - thanks guys.

I still haven't got the OCR either Jamie, saw it in Virgin at £13.99 and decided to get it online at £11.99 so still waiting for it to be delivered, so eagerly awaiting that... hoped it wou

Hi all...

Well, guess what..... I just came past the Victoria Palace Theatre on my way back from work this evening heading towards Victoria Station, so I thought I would just see who was on the board tonight playing Billy and you'll be very surprised to know that it was ........ wait for it............

GEORGE MAGUIRE !!!!!!

Will they ever leave ?

I popped round by the stage door as it was interval time and spoke to one of the crew who were outside having a q

Hi Jeremy.

Sorry didn't get to meet you yesterday, we were probably all milling around the same place without actually saying hello to each other - as I suggested, maybe we should have made some type of name badges !

The line from the show (and film if I remember rightly), is that 'she wrote it for us when I was 18, but I couldn't wait'.

To be gramatically correct it should say 'she wrote it for us FOR when I was 18' but they don't say the 2nd "for" so you there

Hi there

Sorry if it wasn't clear, but it WAS at the end of the show, no I wasn't taking them during the show itself. I was only doing so at the same time that everyone else did at the end but because I was easily accesible, on the side of the Dress Circle, they could reach me and so took exception.

Obviously people in the middle of rows that couldn't be reached they basically couldn't do anything about although I did see a lady approached by a member of staff near the fro

Nope,

Liam is not leaving.... well not yet anyway !

Dec 24th is Ryan's birthday and he is doing the matinee on that day so would assume that will be with Liam as well.... so birthday wishes to Ryan on Christmas Eve..... Merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher should be a riot !

Yep, everyone's comments from last night are very accurate. Other stars who were there but not mentioned yet, were Nick Berry (Eastenders/Heartbeat for those that don't know) and SUPERSTAR, Chris De Bu

Hi to Billy_elliot_fan2

Re your query about the CIN clip, I think Craig's original download link is still active on

http://www.collegeofmagic.com/be.wmv

so maybe you can try and get it from there.

I can't see the link for James' Award clip on the board anymore so not sure if anyone has this. I have got it on the PC as a large (19Mb) downloaded file so if you can't find it anywhere and want to let me have an e-mail address that can accept such a large file, PM me and I can send it to you.

Brian

Re the OCR - I'm just going to wait until Monday and find out for myself but agree that the comments earlier are rather odd compared to the online clips we heard!

Got some tickets for tonight, having queued since 06.35 ! - and there were already 7 people in front of me. Ended up with side seats in the Dress Circle unfortunately - as all the other good ones had gone - but just had to be there somewhere to see the show tonight. See you all there that are going, or in the Stage Door pub around 6 ! Maybe we should all have name badges on !! ha ha

Thanks for the details about Blue Peter on the 9th.

I will have to watch or tape it... musn't miss out on how to make that angel mobile for Christmas !!!! - and maybe see what that Billy Elliot thing is all about !! ha ha!

Saturday's evening performance
 Nov 29 2005, 05:26:42 PM
On another note....

Who is going to be at Saturday's show ? I am going to try and get day tickets as I haven't been able to get any others and - if I can get them - the front row should be a great place to be.

If I can't get tickets I am thinking of coming up anyway between the matinee and the evening performance to collect a few more autographs on my poster/programme and hopefully get to sign George's card.

Just wondering who from here is actually going to be around

Hi All

I'm sure it is all pressed and ready to go now so whatever we all think, and want, as to who is singing what, it is just a case now of wait and see!

Unless someone does think it would be a clever marketing ploy to bring out different versions with all the different Billys (and Michaels) doing their own songs! Surely they wouldn't do that so the real avid fans would feel they have to buy all the versions, would they ?... if there is money to be made, I'm sure they would.

Wow,

8 times and you aren't in England... where do you live Jayo ?

I thought BE was costing me a lot of money, if you got to get here from overseas as well you truly are a dedicated fan !

Nope, the Stage Door Pub is directly across the road from the Theatre's stage door. That's the only one I know of with that name.

There is another on the corner, right next to the front of the Theatre (not sure what it is called) but the cast don't use that one I don't think - I've only ever seen them going straight across the road !

Doubt they will be doing that on the 3rd though as I guess there will be a big party somewhere - now how do we all get an invite to that ?

How many times?
 Nov 21 2005, 04:41:29 PM
As I am the Brian that I think Brian's Law applied to, I think you're right, it was just my comment about having to "wait and see". It is the only law I can think of... except good old Murphy's !

I've seen the show 8 times now, and still haven't seen Leon and Joey !

Liam 4 times, James and George twice each. I only live 30 minutes away from Victoria on the train so I suppose I have a slight advantage there. Haven't got tickets for the 3rd yet as I didn't think I was going to

CD/poster picture
 Nov 21 2005, 08:46:09 AM
I'm glad you said that about the Poster/possible CD cover as I was never totally convinced that it was George and did wonder if it was just a random model.

I always thought that would make sense as the show was intended to run way beyond the initial "Billys" contracts so thought it would be more logical to have a 'neutral' character on the poster to 'future-proof' it. May be wrong as well so be interested to hear from anyone who knows for sure.

As for the CD cover and conte

Welcome Poppy.

Yep amazing how many people are on here and are true followers of the show ! I hope the cast do know about it.

As for Dec 1st, I'm not sure if you will find out for sure as they never seem to really know until the last minute and with various illnesses recently I think they could very easily swop people around at the last minute if they need to.

The only thing I would slightly guess, is that George is due to finish on the 3rd Dec (although there is some

Liam on CIN

As I mentioned before, I missed the start of Liam's performance when it was live on TV so I was really pleased that Craig had quickly uploaded it and made it available on here.

As I started to watch it I thought, "what's that chatting in the background?" and only realised once everyone started talking about it that you can just make out the fact that it is the 'cue' that leads into the start of the song, ie one of the judges at the Royal Ballet School asking how it feels when Billy is d

Oh dear,

Poor you... what a silly thing to do !

Yep it is easier for George living so much closer to London than the others so hope he can get into his GCSEs ok then.

Yes, do mention the board to him, as I said, be good to know he was able to read the comments people put.

Take care, hope the collar bone gets sorted out soon.

Hi Ashleigh,

Nice to see you on the board.... I too only registered to add some comments the other day after having been an 'observer' for a little while.

Does George manage to get back to his mainstream school then ?, I thought they were getting private tutoring while in the show ? Must be quite a lot of travelling back and forth all the time.

I hope you have told him about this message board then and he can get some time to read it too!, It would be good to know tha

Yep, so good to have it on the PC to watch over again. I missed the start on tv and came in half way through, so it was great to find it on here, but I guessed someone would be able to get it on fairly quickly.

I just love the fact that Liam was able to play the part as it is in the show, 'breaking out' into his own dance routine with such energy. And then at the end of it he was the usual sweet little guy that he is - the one you meet at ths stage door right after he comes off stage
