Anyone have news as to when and if this is being recorded? Saw the show and am so looking forward to hearing this cast again and again.

It ocurred to me, to late, that it would be upsetting for the actor it happened to, to read about it. I care more about their feelings than whether you find me ridiculous. My bad. It did spark a lively thread and some shocking and/or funny experiences.

I'd rather keep it non-specific, but in a packed house you notice stuff. It wasn't anything overt, but even if it's subtle, you feel it just the same. It just made me think about just what they have to endure for their craft.

Bad Audience Behavior Feb 18
2006, 07:34:24 PM
Today I saw something go down that I've never been aware of being an audience member and it made my heart go out to the actors who work so hard up there. How long have actors had to endure homophobic behavior by members of the audience? I never thought about it before as I'm always so caught up in what is going on, on stage, but today it was brought to my attention. It seems this sort of thing happens more often on holiday weekends and I for one was frankly horrified. Out of Towner

Andrew Call Brings it To Altar Boyz Feb 18
2006, 07:10:23 PM
It's been nine days since I was last at the show, Andrew Call's first to be precise. Wanted to give the boyz a little space and time to let Andrew settle in to this role that he was born to play. Great to see him tearing up the stage with his exhuberent and energetic delivery. Dare I say it, but not since Andy Karl have we seen a dancin' fool up there as Luke. Not to take away anything from James Royce Edwards who faithfully brought us a Luke we could wrap our arms around, this new incarnati

People don't become friends with the Starbucks cashier they see everyday, why do they think Broadway actors are any different? Maybe one should take an interest in who is serving you your coffee everyday...

I have survived WITHOUT all of the material objects like signed playbills to make me happy. I do know the story, you've told it to me by saying you need theatre just as much as food. Needing theatre is not the same thing as wanting a signed Playbill...where are you getting all this stuff from anyway?

I just have to say, for the record, that if a soul is moved by a beautiful piece of bread, an eloquent speech, a weepingly sad song, a moment in time where things just make sense, sometimes in the dark, in a theatre where you can escape the weight of the world and find that place that brings hope and happiness into your life, is not only important to growth, but crucial to what you take with you when you leave such a moment. It can bring about charity, goodness and a lightness of heart, that o

RUP...what ever made you so angry? I've been to the show, alone, when there have been no 'holics' in the audience and I've been to the show, when there have. "Screaming your heads off" is not exactly what I would call the interaction, but for this particular show, there is supposed to be a certain amount of audience participation. This is not Light In The Piazza! When the show is more 'sedate' frankly (as an observer) it just doesn't play as well. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I kind of thoug

Thanks for the rambling, it was necessary to clarify the intentions of those that support the show. I think it needs to be said that what is being supported is talent. It is not just limited to this one show, but the endeavors of any of these actors/writers/director/choreographer, as well as their significant others. We are supportive because we want to see them all succeed. It is a most beautiful and unusual wave of interest, not quite like anything I have ever witnessed before. It certain
