DEAD OUTLAW To Open On Broadway April 27, 2025
 Jan 30 2025, 07:14:41 PM

We were last row, audience left at Audacy, I think we got the last 2 tickets that were sold, and had no problem seeing any of the show.  If they keep similar staging, I really don't think left vs. right will matter, assuming it it unobstructed

Can't blame them for shooting for the moon on ticket prices.  If no one buys, I am certain prices will drop.

For now, I wait.  Someone will claim this body

We are back in NYC in early April, then not again until a year later.  I REALLY hope this hits one of our windows to see it again!

We were in row 3 or 4 thru TKTS, and that was a little too close, especially for the first part as the stage is quite high.  Once that changes our seats were really great

Oh Mary is pretty much sold out for our visit.  Just single seats.

Hills of California is high on the list, we love Jez.  Yellow Face looks good, too.

OH HELL YES!!

I just mentioned this show in another thread about what we should see next time we are in town.  Too bad we leave a few days before this event.

This is VERY helpful!  I had read about Oh Mary and that's as close to a definite as I can say now.

I'd love to travel with @Dan6!  Maybe I'll see you at the Geffen or La Mirada!

We will be back in April or May for another round.

Suffs is on our list. We saw the very first preview of Outsiders at La Jolla so don't need to see it again.  Our review was "needs work" and it seems to have gotten it, but neither of us thought it would be right for us even if it was it's best self.

Thanks for the suggestions, please keep them coming!

We moved to the west coast 2 years ago.  No longer are we able to see 20-25 shows on and Off Broadway like we used to.  We are doing the best we can out here (have tix for Fiddler with Jason Alexander, Mattress with Sutton, and Godot with Rainn Wilson and Aasif Mandvi) but it isn't the same thing.

To help guide you guide us, here are some of our recent shows as well as a short list of what we've liked the best in recent years:

Planning to see this in mid November, just went to look at tickets and HUGE availability, which surprised us based on the cast and how long since this has been on B'way.  I guess we wait for discounts?

We moved to SoCal 2 years ago and our Bway visits have dropped to one/year now.  We figured we'd see this in NYC and again in LA

Set and production design are top notch, vivid and bold (better than a few musicals I've seen this year). Michael Stuhlbarg and Will Keen are giving exceptional performances. Also Luke Thallon andAlex Hurt stand out in their roles as well.

Rupert Gold's direction is top notch.

I envision a ton

Saw this two weeks ago, on the final Thursday. Got the last two tix at TKTS, second row of mezz.  Rest of mezz was screened off, not sure why they didn’t sell the whole space.

this was our first trip to NYC in 13 months. We moved to the west coast in late 2022, so our former Every Other Month visits are done for good.  We took a red eye on Wednesday and part of why we chose this show was we were staying downtown and it was close and started at 7 instead of

What how

Is it because James and Ladahlord are sometimes played by girls?

Is it even usually considered cross dressing for a girl to wear boys clothes????

It ought to be, if the folks doing the banning are serious about the reasons.

Speaking only for myself, I think the topic, as presented, is a non-starter. The answer is Yes. Now if someone (maybe you) started a thread called "How Do We Solve a Problem Like Florida?," there would be more to convo about.

Happy Pride Month!

How the hell did this drop to Page 4?

1000+ posts about the Wicked Films

Nearly 3000 about Chicago

1200 about Sweeney Todd

keeps those discussions on the front page.  Sure, important topics.   But this issue is going to bear on the lives of all of us, and perhaps the future of Broadway and theater in these United States.

You don't HAVE to do anything about it
