re: re: The Most Beautiful Musical Theater Songs Ever... Nov 20
2003, 12:25:06 AM
I'm glad you said "Could We Start Again, Please?", Gutter. I was definitely thinking that and "I Don't Know How to Love Him"... but "Could We..." tops my list.
Hm, gotta go with "If I Can't Love Her" from Beauty and the Beast as my #2, beautiful song. And (it's cliche but screw you, I like it) "Someone Like You" from J&H as #3.
Just my thoughts, gustibus non disputandem.

Most annoying songs Nov 18

Gotta go with "Tomorrow" as my #1. And even though I'm a Music Man fan, "Pick-a-Little" gets REAL old REAL fast. And I think the 11th or 12th reprise of "Facade" in J&H. Oh, and the score of Grease.
Gotta say though, despite the opinions of the rest of my age group, I can't say I like any of the music from Rent, and I'm a very open-minded person. I just can't stand a single song in it.
Just my 2 cents.

Producer's Question Nov 18
2003, 01:22:33 AM
Of course everyone knows now of Leo Bloom and Max Bialystock. I'm just wondering, since the name Leopold Bloom is taken from James Joyce's masterwork Ulysses, does Max have a similar literary namesake? Thanks for your help.
Cheers,
