8 for The Fantasticks I saw it in October, 1964. I had just turned 14 and did not keep the playbill or remember precisely who was in it at that point. I also saw Bajour on that trip to NYC. When I was 8 my mother took me to see My Fair Lady. When I was ten my parents took me to a musical called TENDERLOIN...... Can anyone rate TENDERLOIN? I have no idea if it is revived often, but I loved the music and have the CD

My husband and I saw GYPSY on Saturday night. The Ravinia production was made by Patti LuPone. Her Rose was the most complicated Rose I have seen. I think that LuPone must have simply considered the incredible range of feelings that a character like Mme Rose has and how quickly those feelings can be cycled through---anger, envy, seduction, desire, projection, transference, ambition, ruthlessness--and yet a comic side, a childish side, an insecure side, a heartbroken side, an absolutely demented
