Barbra's Tour Aug 5

The mind reader was terrible and really awkward. Climb every mountain was cut. No duet partners. Good show but she seemed to be struggling to remember a lot of the lyrics to songs.

Principal Understudies going on for Opening Night Nov 10
2012, 06:07:36 PM
Didn't Sarah Brightman miss opening night of "Phantom of the Opera" due to having the flu and her understudy went on instead?

Whatever happened to Amy Spanger? Apr 16

She had the same vocal problems during "Rock of Ages". And I stand by the statement that her understudy went on more than she did during "The Wedding Singer".

Whatever happened to Amy Spanger? Apr 15

She left Sunset Blvd before her contract was up, as well as ditching The Wedding Singer prematurely because of "vocal issues".

She has a hard time sticking with any one project. She gets something big and then leaves because of "vocal issues".

She's obviously lazy.

Audience behavior at Evita. ( especially with the Latin community) Mar 13
2012, 08:16:07 PM
Goodness. The only bad experience I've had seeing theatre was seeing "The Color Purple", when a bunch of African-American patrons decided to yell at the performers about homosexuality being a sin, and then yell "they probably deserved AIDS!" at the Broadway Cares: Equity Fights AIDS thing at the curtain call. I didn't use it to judge any one race group, chalked it up to a poor upbringing and lack of theatre etiquette from the offending party.

I noticed on the CD that track 1 (prologue) was incredibly low.

For the person who was wondering if Edna had to be played by a man, contractually, the answer is NO. There have been some regional productions that do cast a female in the part.

re: 1976 PETER PAN starring Mia Farrow - did anyone see it? Oct 1

Yes Dollypop, it's good but it's strictly a play. No one sings in it.

Vegas Phantom Sep 20

The actors really need to be replaced. They've been playing the same characters for years and years and last time I saw it they were beyond bored. The shows technical aspects are awesome, but the performances left a lot to be desired.

TALES OF THE CITY Sep 20
2011, 06:17:37 PM
It was really good, but as far as I know there are no current plans to transfer it to Broadway. The best I think we'll be getting is for a regional theatre to perform the show one day if they decide to release the rights.

AC12748---she's been a popular Glinda thanks to her Los Angeles run, but was never very popular as Elphaba seeing as how she never played the role.

Becky Gulsvig is Elle Woods at Ogunquit Playhouse Aug 2

Yeah, they're assholes because they actually would like to see someone who can sing Paulette's songs instead of someone who can barely keep a tune.
