I totally thought it would be so funny if someone started a website with all the juicy gossip of our favorite Broadway folks but then I realized that's what these boards are for! lol!

It's going to be exclusively online for now, but if the public(you guys) show enough interest in it a possible network pickup is not out of the question.

I have recently been working on this new television series called
'Breaking In'.

Think of it as "Extras" for theatre. With splashes of "The Office" and
"Always Sunny in Philadelphia" thrown in.

The show follows a group of young directors, actors, writers, and
producers who are trying to break in! Anyway this could be a very
exciting thing for our community.

The premier is going to be April 1st with a huge party and screening
in New York at New World

Well she might be tiny and frail but she has to have a powerful presence for sure. What about Mary Testa(lol)

Alice Ripley? Anyone?

She can play a large age range and she has a country sound?

Thoughts?

I think Bernadette is not the right look. I can't believe I am going to say this but what about someone more along the lines of Kristen!

I don't know if anyone saw the article the other day but there is a new musical about the life of Tammy Faye being written. Just wanted to see who everyone thought would be a good Tammy.

Can anyone tell me what the context of the song 'Petrified' from Taboo is. The scene before or anything?

Thanks for the help!

In the original Broadway mounting no credit was given to any prior productions.

They style of the show may have been different but the staging of the show was pretty much identical!

By now everyone has either heard or read about the whole Urinetown controversy, and for the most part I think we all can agree it’s a tad ridiculous. I personally would like to call John Rando out on being a hypocrite. His production of Dance of the Vampires was almost an exact replica of the original in Germany, but because it was such a huge flop no one said anything. It just shows how much this is not driven on creative rights but on the sure fact that someone wants some money. Anyone?

I think Hair has a lot more to say then RENT ever did. Hair is probably in the top ten greastest shows ever written. In the ranks with shows like A Chorus Line, Jesus Christ Superstar, Oklahoma, Showboat, and pieces that really changed the way we see theatre, I don't think RENT did that. I would love to see Hair revived but not as a period piece more as an updated commentary on the war in Iraq!
