re: You're first broadway cast recording

The first one that was actually mine was Annie Get Your Gun with Bernadette.

The first I remember listening to with my family was Damn Yankees.

Ollie's, Haru, and there a nice little french place that's practically across from the theatre. Ellen's is always a lot of fun especially if you've never been though the food leaves a hell of a lot to be desired.

Seth MacFarlane has said that he has the CD collection of an 80 year old man.

I'm not sure if it was FG or the simpsons but some cartoon character once said "If you want to go see a bad show, see RENT" or something to that effect.

There was also a Trolley Song reference on American Dad.

re: 'Zombie Prom' free on Itunes

I just watched it and I must say I was really dissapointed They cut all my favorite songs (well rupaul does sing jonny don't go during the credits) which I understand because it's a short film. But the acting left a lot to be desired and the choreography was lack luster. Jonny's makeup also bothered me.

But this doesn't mean I won't watch it again

Who would have ever thought I'd have two different recordings of Zombie Prom?

Johnny Depp looks constipated in that picture. . . and yet I still find him attractive.

The only song I know is Cruelty Stomp and it's tons of fun to perform. It was part of show I did once.

You've Got to Be Carefully Taught- South Pacific, it sends these chills through me. It is so simple yet so powerful.

I know it sounds weird but the most recent song I have discovered that gets my eyes watering is "Chip on My Shoulder" from Legally Blonde. It makes me want to work harder at what I do.

And not a song but a line from a musical: In A Chorus Line when Diani gives her little speech about waiting at the stagedoor and says "I never thought I'd be old enough to come

I worked as child wrangler as intern for this production for two weeks. From my many monitor viewings backstage I thought she was fantastic. She brought an incredible energy and fire to the role, I'm sad the run is over.

I also miss the kids in it terribly.

re: Seeing Shows Multiple Times

Todd is a dear friend of mine and I think it is horrible that so many of you would attack someone you don't know anything about. Let alone devote an entire thread to it. There is nothing wrong with people seeing shows multiple times, if a piece of theatre touches you that much or can uplift you that much why not keep going back. My friends and I go see theatre as much as we can and it's a lot better than spending our time on other activities that a lot of teenagers do.

Yesterday's matinee was sold out, I had to get standing room.

Oh, what Stephen Schwartz will do for a rhyme, though I can't help but love it.

They have all the info up at the box office, so it appears they are but I can't be sure.
re: Anthony Galde as Fiyero???

He looks the same age as Norbert. . . granted Norbert looks too old to play Fiyero.
re: Lucky Stiff - Anyone ever seen a production of it?
 Jul 9 2006, 05:17:59 PM
I was just in a production of it with my local theatre group in March. It's a lot of fun and over the top. It's not a show where you can hold anything back.
re: What show has had the most profound impact on you?
 Jul 4 2006, 04:49:25 PM
RENT- I found it at a time when I was very sick and going through a lot. It gave me a place to turn too and a new community of people to reach out too. It also really pushed me head on into theatre.

Yeah, sounds a bit hokey but I can't help it.
