John was in the show tonight, August 8. He was wonderful.

As was suggested by another poster a year ago, there is now an ANNOUNCED schedule of when Longoria plays!

To think, this is the post that started the whole thing.

re: Ticket Prices 10 Years From Now

Right. A friend told me that Cats was at $40 in 1984.

So, it was +$35 over a 13 year period.

Now we have almost +$35-$40 in a ten year period.

I'd bet in ten years (2017) tickets will be $175 at least. Anyone else?

In 1997, a friend paid $75 (top dollar) to see "The Life" and "Titanic."

In 2007, I have paid $115 to see "Talk Radio" "A Chorus Line," and "Inherit The Wind."

Would you happen to know how that compares to prices rising in the past?

Does anyone know authoritatively: is JLY playing most or all of his shows right now?
re: A Chorus Line

The revival of "A Chorus Line" is magnificent production. When the reviews came out, the Manhattan Elitists were so disappointed that it couldn't and didn't remind them of their over-emotional reaction to the show in the 1970's.

The monologues and script content of "A Chorus Line" are so mild compared to the Broadway of today. It 1975 it was revolutionary. A Chorus Line can now be celebrated as a standard of Broadway.

It is a solid show in a solid production, and I hope it ha

Furthermore, I am certain that the producers of struggling shows will not remain satisfied with the so-called service that they are getting from the telecharge monopoly.

Ticketmaster and telecharge obviously have big problems. Although someone tried to make it a personal attack on me (an flawed strategy often utilized on this board) the problems are clearly with the "service" provided by these ticket dispensers.

The average poster on this board gets it. Telecharge is terrible. So is ticket master.

So much for the excuse makers.

Thanks for quoting the telecharge "customer no-service" department.

It is interesting how people can't wait to make excuses for telecharge.

As for capitalism, competition would be the key. Telecharge is the equivalent of a governmentally run health care system.

Next, someone will suggest that the government take over telecharge.

I'm sorry that you chose this forum to attack me again. I'm sorry that we don't truly know each other.

I am even more sorry that anyone would obfuscate the issue and cover-up the obvious deficiency of telecharge to serve the Broadway shows and their customers in an appropriate manner.

I am for freedom! We should be free to search the seats as much as we would like. I am for honesty and integrity!

Does anyone believe that promise from Telecharge to fix their problem?

Does anyone have any strategies by which we can fight them?

Telecharge has engaged in a despicable business practice.

Why would anyone defend this abhorrent, unprofessional business practice by the ticket Nazi's themselves?
