I'm a senior this year and auditioned for schools for musical theatre. I'll be going to Pace University's NYC campus for their musical theatre BFA next year.
Pace has an amazing program. But they only take 15-20 MT's out of 300/400 that audition so it's just as competitive as a lot of the really well known schools, it's just very new. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

I was actually accepted into Pace's program but I was waitlisted at Syracuse. I want to go to Pace regardless, but I found out about Syracuse before Pace so I sent a letter to Syracuse telling them how much I loved their school and program. Honestly, I would really send a letter expressing your interest, it definitely couldn't hurt you.
