LESTAT San Francisco review is in Jan 11 2006, 08:44:59 PM
Hate to post it but, here it is and I hate to say "I told you so" but I did a few weeks ago after seeing the show. San Francisco has saved us and our wallets from mediocre Broadway bound musicals, like High Society, Lennon, and the Mambo Kings. I couldn't agree with this review any more. Sir Elton should ditch the honeymoon, art shows and parties and tend to his substandard musical which is in trouble. We're pulling for you Elton! We don't want to see you fail. Lestat: Musical. Book

Just got back from San Francisco over New Years to see LESTAT. Anticipation was high to finally see a vampire musical make it on Broadway. I've seen theatre around the world and I'm sad to report that this show needs a fresh start from top to bottom. A BIG BORE! The book and music are all very uninspired. How Rice & John could bless this mess is beyond me. Everything down to the sets & lighting were terrible. If this should fly to Broadway, New York would do us a service by stabbing, burning and

Star in Your Own Broadway Musical Jan 2 2006, 02:10:52 PM
Love WICKED???? Would you like to star in a "hand painted poster" version with 5 other friends or stars at whatever theatre you want? Send me your email address and I will send you a jpg picture of a sample. IMPoSTERS are 16 x 20" hand painted in acrylic paint accented with dazzling Austrian crystals. You pick the cast and the theatre. I've been painting these for over 25 years. I paint over 80 Broadway musicals and have sold my work all over the world to celebs and theatre lovers alike. They ar

I saw the show 2 years ago in previews in London. Infact with Sir Andrew sitting right behind me. People think outside the BOX! It's not Oklahoma (thank God!),it's something new and you should all be open to a new form of theatre. Yes, it's over the top but, so are all the BOLLYWOOD films. It's done on purpose. Those Bollywood films box office dollars are refective of that. Our biggest box office $$$$ fall way short by comparison to any of these films there. So, the show is exactly what it is su

Cher is NOT a good choice. Her voice is a little low like the dreadful film version was for poor ol Lucy. And Bette, well, she's hardly the type of actress you would sympathize in any given situation. I think they need to stop rethinking these "classic" and bring something new from the theatre. What's next, remakes of the Wizard of Oz and Gone With the Wind? Take a chance on WICKED, what an incredable job Tim Burton would do to take that into a film, or Side Show for that matter. People - get
