Very true, and it’s all rumours until an official announcement but multiple theatres sources hinting at the same thing seems to point in a certain direction. Guess we will find out, I’d say next month at a guess

The producers just don't want to spend money and keep it for themselves. I understand it from a capitalist perspective but why not reward the actors who have been with the show for so long? The fact that he's threatening to not be in the recording of the original cast makes me think it's definitely more than him just moving on to something else.

It feels like a bad choice on her behalf to me. The U.K. X factor has lost its spark, it's almost a joke over here now.
Saying that, I doubt her bouncers coming out whenever she came on stage would have gone down well on Broadway, she's not a big star in the US I believe?
