DeQuina Moore originated the role of Pilar in San Francisco and stayed with the show until the beginning of July, then Asmeret Ghebermichael took over the role. Asmeret is the one who is on the MTV broadcast, so it was probably something that DeQuine added when she was Pilar.

Looking for some info on The Music Man

Hey to all, I've got a big favor to ask. I'm working on a presentation on The Music Man for my American Musical Theater class and would like to know if anyone could direct me to a place where I could find some reviews of the original Broadway version.
Also, I'm having trouble finding information on the revival in 1980 starring Dick Van Dyke. It ran for a little over 20 performances, so was it similar to the recent Gypsy on Broadway or just didn't work out?
