Isn't Laverne a dancer? If I'm not mistaken, I think that's what her degree is in. (Or maybe she switched to acting at some point). Her modest acting chops aside, we've never actually seen her range as an actress. I hope she surprises us. I find her OITNB performance to be particularly two note. Maybe the campy, over-the-top nature of an alien, transvestite, evil scientist will be her thing. That's not often the case with two note performers, but I'm
