Rush Lines- What time to go for various shows
 Jun 20 2024, 03:15:29 PM

Hello! I've looked around for the info but am not finding it. If there is a better thread that's great!

But I'm heading into the city soon and interested in the rush line for a few shows. I would love to hear people's experience for how early I need to be in line and how good the seats were for the following shows:

Stereophonic

The Great Gatsby (Thursday matinee)

Cursed Child

Hell's Kitchen

Suffs

Illinoise

Sorry if there is already a thread on this... I couldn’t find it. Coming into the city with my Mom in December... there are box seats available at a decent price... are they ok? I assume there may be some view obstruction but how much? Thanks!

What is the cleverest stage trick you have seen?
 Feb 18 2017, 10:59:29 AM

For me, it was definitely the quick changes in Cinderella. Also the flying carpet in Aladdin always amazes me. Lastly probably the most amazing thing to me  is when Trunchbull picks up the girl by the pigtails and swings her around. I've seen the show five times can't ever figure out how they do that…

The Master Builder?

Thanks.  We saw Aladdin on our last trip and Lion King is coming to our city... Also Wicked was just here... Cats is on our list but people don't seem too interested... We are seeing School of Rock and Hamilton and On Your Feet (fingers crossed it doesn't close) as our other shows...

Haha. Yeah, I'm not too familiar with with any of the shows... So Sunset is probably appropriate for that age just maybe boring to them... unless they are gay... Ha.  Any specific reason for that?

Hey everyone!  So I am bringing a group of devoted theatre students age 10-13 to New York in February to see some shows... I am trying to determine on our last 2 shows between Natasha Pierre, Sunset BLVD and Holiday Inn... I understand the first two could be boring to younger kids but I am mostly curious on the appropriateness level for kids this young... Is there a lot of language?  Any F words?  How much Innuendo/sex etc.  Thanks in advance for any information, advice or

ACL2006 said: "agree that POPPINS closed too early. They closed March 3, 2013 & ALADDIN wasn't arriving until February 2014. POPPINS could have(& should have) run until mid-December."

Didn't they renovate the New Amsterdam Theater between that time? I think Disney seems to be the common thread here- they have this thing about quiting while they are ahead. They close their shows when they are on top. They can do that because unlike other producers, the
