It was just a question. I don't have time or energy to creep around on these message boards all the time looking at previous topics. I was just wondering. You don't have to answer or even read this.

I do agree to a point... but, there are some good ones out there.

I suppose that I wish, instead of taking shows directly off stage and adapting them into movies, that original material would be written specifically to be a movie.

Does anybody else think, with the recent boom of stage musicals to movie, Les Miserables would actually make a really good choice? I mean, as with Evita, it would have a lot of scenery and have, if nothing else, great scenery...

But I feel like that show could really be made into an awesome movie... better than Mamma Mia anyway.

Yes, but paying rent in NYC and then not having your normal amount of pay to cover that can be a bit taxing. Not to mention that they are locked into a contract so they cannot just look for work elsewhere.

And showing up to work is expected, but it must be depressing to show up for a show that you know you won't be having a chance to put on? I dunno... just my thoughts.

Strike - Actors?

So, I'm understanding both sides of the issue with the strike (and though I do side with the Union) I can understand a little of where both sides are coming from. However, what about the actors and musicians? It's not their strike (and though I would think most of them would and should be in support of the Union strikers) and they aren't working either. Unemployment pay is drastically lower compared to their normal paychecks, not to mention they have to show up every night for call as usual to p
