Spacedog: Scarlet doesn't become a p*rn star in Scarlet's Walk, the story you're thinking of is of Amber Waves; just the first song. Scarlet herself moves to Washington D.C and gives birth to a child.
I think that the Tori musical will be a hit or miss. I'm a massive Tori fan - for me she is only second to Kate Bush (and I don't actually see much similarity) - and I will always support her decisions she makes as an art
