The pit was made up of men and women. However, there was a woman who appeared onstage in just one number to play the grand piano. That number was Dorothy singing "Mame". The piano player's name was Sue Anderson I beleive.

Thank you so much for this rave review! I loved doing the show! My castmates were marvelous on and off the stage and the music by Jerry Sternbach was a gift to sing. So glad you enjoyed yourself - that's what it's all about. By the way, Heidi is now in NYC doing "Mamma Mia". I'm sure she is wonderful - she's so talented!

Every night Dorothy made me cry when she sang "Time Heals Everything". Absolutely wonderful - very moving. She was awesome and is greatly missed.

I was one of the gals that went on for Chita when she broke her leg - it was such a thill! It was a bad situation and we all did our best to try to make it better. Chita is such a talent and great person on top of that. It was an honor to be on the stage with her. I'm so glad she healed and went on to create more Broadway history.
