Hey all, reporting from Kalamazoo, MI, to answer some of the questions posed on this thread.
Technically, the community theatre rights to "Avenue Q" are not released yet. Up until a few months ago, there was the original version and a "school version". Yes, school version. Our theatre became a pilot theatre to test what works and doesn't work for a community theatre version. We've been working with MTI and the writers to come up with a "middle ground".
