I just came back from seeing the final show at Paper Mill. It was an amazing production. As someone who has seen Hairspray more times than I should admit, I dare say it is one of the best casts ever!!
Chris Seiber plays an amazing Edna. He is one of the few Ednas to have a voice and uses it. Christine Danelson is the best Tracy I have ever seen and hits every note. Her rendition of "I Can Hear the Bells" is comical and splendid at the same time. Weakvoiced? I overheard a couple o

Ok...so enough about what Christopher Seiber said and did. Did anyone make it to opening night last evening? I read a fantastic review concerning the show on Theatermania.com. It seems the show is a great hit! Anyone there to experience it firsthand?

I saw Hairspray at the Paper Mill on Wednesday night. I understand that it is still in previews and actually opens tomorrow evening. It is an excellent show and more than likely one of the Paper Mill's best. This isn't just my opinion. It is the one I consistently overheard from the audience.
As far as the comments that the show is just a copy of the Broadway version, I wish you had attended the director's pre-show meeting. It would have explained a great deal to you. The sets ar
