I think that few people are taking on board that this programme was made in 1973. I know that there is no canned laughter or Applause but then there are none of these things in On The Town, West Side Story, or any of the big musicals that have been done over the years. This was a time when people were still coming to terms with the freedom to show nude body parts and to openly show gay men, and as such is a part of history.
