Cheap Ticket Advice May 6

Mean Girls only has a rush on Wednesdays (DEH doesn't have one at all), and the online lotteries for both shows (and the in-person lotto for MG) are extremely difficult to win. You're going to want to purchase in advance for those two.

Mean Girls Rush/Lottery Apr 25
2018, 11:33:18 AM
I did the Wed rush today and got an eve perf ticket; orch C10, hopefully not too terribly partial. :) Was second in line there at 3:30, the first person got there at 1 (!!) but obviously most came later (although the line was definitely a thing by 5)...

It was one of the Public's free first previews, so the entire house was free; as a result they had a LOT of lotto tix to give away. :)

ILLYRIA Previews Oct 22

It started a tad late, but it ran about 1 hr 45...I enjoyed it, or most of it; the theatre history is fascinating, although it's only a small slice of the middle of Joe Papp's story...tis a play in 3 scenes, and the middle scene was my fave. Some lovely performances, if a bit slow to get going!

Oooh, I might be interested! How much?

A ‘Hamlet’ With Oscar Isaac, Once Canceled, Will Run at the Public Theater Jun 21
2017, 05:58:44 PM
I enjoyed it very much! Oscar makes a wonderful Hamlet, as I expected he would, and Keegan-Michael Key added a surprising amount of hilarity to the proceedings...it also didn't hurt that Oscar spends a great deal of time in just a t-shirt and tight briefs, btw.

And for the record, it was def not "aggressively cut," oddly enough; the only cut sections were the ones that tend to be cut in most prods of Hamlet these days (all the stuff w Fortinbras, etc.)...

Btw, last night's first preview ended up running about 4 hrs (including the two 10-min intermissions). :) I loved it, though!!
