Broadway Discounts  Jun 15 2023, 09:20:44 PM

Does anyone have any discounts for Parade?  I'm going the last week in July.  I know it's unlikely because it will close a week later and it did really well in the Tony's, but I thought I would ask anyway.

HADESTOWN will return on September 2  May 25 2021, 09:47:56 PM

Does anyone have any information on how long the leads are planning on staying in Hadestown?  I am a huge Eva fan and plan on seeing this show in February.  Do you think that will be too late?

Mrs. Doubtfire - Seattle Pre-Broadway Thoughts  Dec 9 2019, 02:02:26 PM
I saw both Tootsie and Mrs. Doubtfire and like Mrs. Doubtfire quite a bit better. It has a bigger heart, it’s more fun, and it seems less dated.
Mrs. Doubtfire - Seattle Pre-Broadway Thoughts  Dec 7 2019, 10:59:14 AM

I saw this last night!

The good-

This show is fun and funny.  I had a blast and so did my guest.

Rob McClure was incredible.  He was onstage for almost the entire show and managed to switch from two different characters in seconds on stage.

The girl playing the teenage daughter seemed soulful and sang beautifully.

The book!  I was entertained the entire time and I really felt for every member of the family.

The costumes!

My favor

Musical Theatre Songs You Never Want To Hear Again  Aug 26 2018, 09:10:41 PM

I was at Marie's Crisis with friends a few weeks ago and the piano player was a dick.  After we put money in the jar and asked for Rent, he said, "we do the screamier songs after my break.  We have to warm up our vocals first".  Then, he said he needed a shot before he played anything from Rent and asked my sister if she knew that there were musicals written before 1994.  After that, we decided to request the most annoying Broadway piano songs that we could t

Line  Feb 18 2018, 07:51:11 PM

Hi!  I live in Seattle and saw the Hamilton tour last night.  It was brilliant, powerful, and lived up to all the hype.  I would love to go back.  Does anyone know if Seattle has a cancellation line?

Seattle 2019 Season announced  Jan 5 2018, 11:28:39 PM

I saw On Your Feet on Broadway and I didn't enjoy it.  I thought that while all the actors were working hard and were amazing dancers, I wasn't engaged with the story.  For me, a fantastic musical has an interesting story that is seamlessly told by designers, direction, music, dancing, and acting.  On Your Feet had the dancing and not much else.

Seattle 2019 Season announced  Jan 5 2018, 08:54:38 PM

I'm excited!  I renewed yesterday.  The only show I definitely don't want to see if On Your Feet.  I can't wait for School of Rock, Dear Evan Hansen, and The Color Purple.

Hi!  I love Broadway and need some reading suggestions for the summer.  I especially love leading ladies and mysteries about musicals.  Any suggestions?

Question to all the pianists out there: What was the hardest Broadway piece you've encountered?  May 4 2017, 08:41:34 PM

I've been having a lot of trouble with The Room Where it Happens from Hamilton because it's so fast.

The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle will include the touring productions of Fun Home and The Little Mermaid.  It will also include a new production of Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, which is most likely a Broadway tryout.  We also get to see Murder for Two, The Pajama Game, The Secret Garden, and Man of LaMancha.

Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre is getting Fun Home.  The other shows will be announced on March 6.  Seattle's Paramount is announcing on March 15 or 16.

http://www.ganderbeacon.ca/News/Local/2016-01-14/article-4404184/Come-from-away/1

The Gander Beacon reports that Come From Away might come next fall.  If that's true, would Come From Away possibly try to come to Broadway in the 2016-17 season?
