Rocky Horror Show Revival Cast

They're also not a conventional theater performer- more of an queer scene & nightlife performer. Their casting bolstered my confidence the production, if that's the sort of performer they're rounding out the ensemble with. But we should be expecting a casting announcement in the next couple weeks.

I didn't see the production but heard from friends who did see it, and to say they weren't fans would be an under statement.

It just feels like what the world needs is a good ole classic chestnut Broadway production with a top tier cast. Perhaps thats just my wishful thinking.

I understand your frustration with all of that! I have to keep myself from doom scrolling because I too keep getting worked up and frustrated about all of it.

sending you positivity from my corner of the world, we’re in this together ❤️

well we won’t know if WILL be a revival until it is mounted and the Tony Committee rules it, but based on previous shows that are in similar situations as this, we can assume it will be a revival unless of course the committee breaks precedent and rules otherwise.  Where’s the confusion coming from?

But if this is going to be a very queer production... Sara Ramirez as El Gallo would get me seated quickly. I want them back on Broadway so badly.

John Adams said: "ErmengardeStopSniveling said: "Do modern sensibilities mean that El Gallo should be Latin American?"

IMO, no. It wouldn't be a stretch to think of El Gallo as being "well-traveled". I can imagine that regardless of ethnicity, any man might have the mon

Thank you for contributing your thoughtful analysis, it is a shame you are being dragged to see it against your own will.

I'm very intrigued by this, and glad someone is taking a big swing with a brand new concept on a show that is a classic. I haven't thought about this show in a while, and will be listening to the music today as I work, I forget just how beautiful the music is. The article mentions it will be contemporary, I'm curious as to what that means, exactly. New orchestrations? Just please don't replace that harp part.

If this proves to be successful, I wonder if they

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 1/4/26

My point I was trying to articulate is that, $1mill isn't the safe bet it once was. It used to be impressive to see that number next to any show. Now if it's anything less you're in trouble.

Just in Time - Matt Morrison?

I'll never understand the need for someone to be like "SEE I WAS RIGHT! I SPILLED THE TEA BEFORE OTHER PEOPLE!" Like... ok? You don't cite sources, no one knows who you are, you don't even have an original username, why should anyone take what you say as fact.

Congrats, you are better than everyone.

And why are we to believe you aren't the one giving out "comically bad information"

Sinatra is doing a limited run in London if they can find the money - it will be a brit playing Sinatra. Doyle didn't walk away - the last workshop's format hurt him.

I know Laurie Metcalf was attached and there were a handful of performances of “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” but I’d much rather see Lane/Metcalf in that show over this. I probably won’t get to see it, but I’m sure they’ll both deliver strong performances.

But did it clear things up tho? Or are you still confused as to why the film producers would like to first get a bigger slice of pie selling/renting the film instead of dumping it directly to a streamer?

Sure.

You lack the critical thinking skills to distinguish between "how licensing works", and "how Amazon's model of Prime Video membership has devolved"."

I know Tik Tok may not be the best indicator, but every time a Matt Morrison video shows up on my feed there are more comments making fun of him than what seem supportive. There’s something almost “cringe” about him, like he’s trying to relive the glory days kind of vibe.

If Amazon wanted to pay for the rights so users can stream for free, they would and they could. There is $. It’s not unreasonable to be upset that they require a growing subscription fee only for them to ask for more money once you’re a paying customer.

I think it’s weird to defend the gigantic corporation worth billions instead of demanding that they quit nickel and diming everything from their users.
