Happy to report on my excellent seats for Kimberly Akimbo last night: Orch row A 110-111. Right-center aisle third row. We missed a tiny bit of upstage action but the seats were great.
*edited for correct row. Tickets were row A which is behind AA and BB, third row from stage

Huge shout out to their audience services team as well. Had to move my Caroline tickets a few times due to illness and their agents were always available and helpful!

I really liked this show. To be fair it's very straightforward with no frills in terms of writing and structure, but I loved the look into how immigration law affects families on a personal and emotional level.

It's very similar to the tour, even including the appeal to vote and the Janelle Monae cover toward the end. He did add a few songs though which I was thrilled to hear (in the spoiler tab below in case you want to be surprised!). The stage is smaller from the tour stop I saw (Kings Theater in Brooklyn) so the choreo seemed tighter (both in crispness and spatially). Phenomenal performance which I hope to revisit a few times during this run! LINDA VISTA Previews Sep 25

BTW, if you do want to see it, there's some kind of glitch or unannounced promo on the Second Stage website where every seat is free for the whole run if you use your AmEx – just have to pay for convenience fee. Perhaps Ken Davenport is consulting for them."
Certainly very interested in this! When/how does this prompt? I've gotten as far as adding my billing address (but no CC info) but have yet to click 'buy now'. After cli

David Cote of The Observer weighs in as mixed. Lots of positives but doesn't work as a total package according to Cote.

Beetlejuice tonight: Orch M 7 (apologies to the shorter people behind me)
Hadestown last night: Mezz F 112-114. Tight up there as usual but I like how the mezz is so close to the stage.
Very pleased with seats both nights.

I rushed this on Tuesday at about 4:30pm and the BO gave me a choice of center orch M or left orch C, went with the latter and appreciated being that close as he makes a lot of eye contact with the first few rows. Worth the $49 in my opinion.

TKTS - which booth? Apr 17
2018, 01:49:09 PM
You are correct. That booth opens at noon for evening shows and the booths downtown and in Brooklyn open at 11am for evening shows. While they MAY release better seats closer to the performance, I always err on the side of having tickets in hand earlier, as you are considering. Also, you will spend far less time waiting in line at the other booths than you will in Times Square, so more time to enjoy the city.
