@nrubanobroadway - I wouldn't completely bank on there being a scalper selling tickets outside before the show. We didn't see any on Friday or before Saturday matinee, but we did see a few people with signs looking for tickets who were never approached by anyone (one woman had a sign that said "need 1 ticket- will pay $100!" which gave everyone a good laugh... by just before showtime she changed it to "will pay $200!" ) If you have time/energy to do the cancellation line, it is definitely worth it!
@secondstar32 It was so awesome that you guys got in- I can't believe everyone in front of us turned down standing room! (We were the couple you talked to at intermission) HOORAY FOR LINE NEIGHBORS!
I'm curious about how Saturday night went- anyone on here get in? We were so tired and slept for like twelve hours.
"
@peachesthecast ah I know! I'm so happy we all got in! I seriously can't believe people turned down the standing room seats but I'm happy they did!

Hi!
On Friday night, my cousin and I got in line at 3pm and 3:30pm. The line was long but we were there for either Saturday show. Five premium seats and seven house seats were given out for Friday, so a total of 12. We were a bit nervous after that because we were around 28th in line!
We stayed overnight which actually was a lot of fun! Everyone around us in line were great and super friendly! By the morning we were preparing ourselves that we might not even make it in either show and we'd have to stay until Sunday. When the tickets started going out I got SO nervous! Only 4 premium seats and I think 2 house seats were given out for the matinee....then standing rooms! A few standing rooms went out and we thought it was over, then the guy came out and said there were two left. We were the next two that didn't want premiums so we took them! I don't even remember running into the theatre because I couldn't believe this was happening. We were the last two to get into the matinee show!! I cried for at least the first two songs and was shaking! The show was amazing and waiting in line was SO worth it!
My friend was also waiting in line with me and unfortunately got caught off . So we were super nervous she would not get in for the 8pm show. I don't think that many tickets were released for that show as well but again SRO went out! She was one of the last to go in! Side note: she has a broken foot and was not going to let that stop her.
SRO is totally worth it!! You see great, just can't really see when they are on the second level on the stage but if you crouch down or go on the stairs you can. Daveed stole the show for me!
The entire cast was in it, I was shocked and SO happy.
Don't give up and try the cancellation line if you can! This thread was extremely helpful to us so I hope this helps someone!

Do you think they will start splitting the line today between Friday and Saturday? I know that sometimes they do that.
Headed in the line today, I'm so excited!
