I'm so happy to know that you loved doing Hedwig, because i don't have words to express who much i loved watching that production. It was entrancing and demanded repeated viewings.

I love that you sing with your hands. it's facinating to watch, it's like the emotion of what you are portraying has over taken your being.

Eternal Sunshine is just about my favorite movie of last year, and the only movie about which I can say I like Jim Carrey, his comedy just doesn't do it for me at all.

"What a crazy ass situation."

"crazy ass" is one of my favorite adjectives. :)

Anthony,

I was wondering if you ever miss your Hedwig high heels and have you ever been compelled to wear them while Tango-ing Maureen so that you can "try it in heels"?

"So now every waking cell in my brain is obsessed with the election and I can't possibly write answers to the questions now..."
that's too funny...
seriously, like every fiber of my being is going insane waiting to find out the results and hoping beyond hope that a winner will be declared soon (today!?!) voting this morning felt so...empowering.

sorry

i tend to think of Mark as outwardly static, but inwardly dynamic. He participates by observing, and doesn't realize that by doing so he isn't really participating. It's happened to me many times, where I've been out with a group and i'm listening to the conversation and laughing and nodding and whatnot, without realizing I haven't said a word the whole time. I've also used sunglasses as defense mechanism against life/people/whatever, a way to separate myself even if it's only mentally. And
Rejoice for the striptease!!

Why doesn't Mark change clothes in the play? That's always bothered me a bit. I have my own only partially thought out theory on the matter having to do with the fact that he's the narrator and while he's part of the story he's also outside of it....anyway... was that a conscious choice?

catching up- gompers

"What did you think of the play? (I'm assuming you saw it.)"

Gompers was so sad, like rip your heart out sad, I wept both times i saw it. I think it hit me so hard because it felt so real- the characters felt like real people with real problems- it was a very honest portrayal of struggling people. And it didn't feel like their problems were being either trivialized or exploited.
I wasn't quite sure what to do with the blue jesus concept, but i liked the urban legend-ness of it.

Hi Anthony-

What attracts you to a role like Carlos in Gompers? Were you in it to support your brothers work? Or was there something about the story or character that made you take the role?
Also, you've worked here in Pittsburgh twice now, what do you think of the place?

thanks
~rachel
