1. NEXT TO NORMAL- The music/lyrics win my heart from the get-go, but throw in a great book and amazing staging as well... definitely steals the top spot for me by a landslide. 2. REBECCA- The score and storyline are so flawless to begin with, I don't need a full-scale Broadway production to say it deserves the second spot. I'd love to have the chance to see Blanchett in the role... she's one of my favorite actresses. Although I must say no one will ever compare with Vivien Leigh. The one other Blanche I'd kill to see, other than Vivien is definitely Uta Hagen. When I heard she had done the road show in the 1950s, I just about died. Why was I born about 40 years after?
