I knew Kurt Peterson in NYC - before he was Kurt!! We were fellow students at AMDA - I remember him sitting in my apartment one afternoon - I was learning the guitar - and was noodling with "Maria" from "Paint Your Wagon" --- and he started to sing. I swore to myself at that time that I would never sing that song again ! What a voice - from this pink cheeked Wisconsin lad with the wide eyes.
