If/Then not honoring ticket exchange?

I purchased tickets for my daughter's birthday to see Idina Menzel in If/Then on Saturday, September 6, 2014 for the 2:00 p.m. matinee. Poor Idina was sick that day, so as a consolation we were given a slip of paper by a staff member, indicating that we could exchange our tickets for a future performance on a "best available basis" and that "every attempt" would be made to provide similar seat locations.
