Which theater reviews do you read/follow? Jul 3 2013, 08:37:49 AM
I'm curious which theater reviews (critic, newspaper, tabloid, online sites) you read and follow. Do the reviews influence your ticket purchase? Which shows did you love, but the critics hated and bashed? For actors, playwrights, composers, lyricist/librettist, producers - which review carries more weight?

ClaraJohnson, thanks, I will have to shut up then :). Anyway, I'm not saying the show was perfect - it has a couple of things that probably need tightening up but overall I had a great time. Full disclosure - I'm not in any way connected to the show. There.

@RippedMan, the setting is 18th century England, specifically Hampton Court. It's romantic and hilarious at the same time. It's a period piece, but the themes (and music and lyrics) resonate to the modern day world.

Has anyone seen this? Soft opening last night. I thought it was a fantastic show. Probably the next big thing on Broadway. Check it out: http://www.carnerandgregor.com/unlockd/
