Posted: 5/4/05 at 11:22pmDoes anyone know how to go about becoming an usher in a Broadway theater? I have heard that it is a union, then other people have said its very easy to join. Also, what about the people who sell the souvienars? Do you have to contact the companies that sell the goods? What companies would those be??? Any help out there?

Aracca? Group is for WICKED... Dewynters is for CHITY,BROOKLYN,PHANTOM,CHICAGO
you just send them a resume with a cover letter to their offices.. Aracca is located on 44th street next to john's pizzeria.

To be an usher, you apply at the theatre chain--Jujamcyn, Nederlander, etc. If they hire you, you join the union after working 30 performances.
The catch is getting hired--helps to know someone.
