Playbill.com is reporting that Marin Mazzie is joining Spamalot, but doesn't give the role. I assume it is Lady of the Lake. Anyone have any info? I may need to see this again if confirmed!

As much as I can't wait to see her on stage again, I have to express my concern that no one is writing shows for this exciting performer. In Spamalot, what is she, the 3rd or 4th replacement for this role? She was a replacemenet in Man of La Mancha too. Why isn't she originating roles?? Come on producers!

She's the second replacement. Sara, then Lauren. She is incredibly talented, though.

Okay, so I love me some Marin Mazzie. She's my favorite. However, I just don't see this. She's a terific actress, but I've never found her to be that funny (maybe she is a good fit for Spamalot?)

At any rate I'm glad she's back on Broadway. And let's write that woman something new so she can grab a long overdue tony.

And not to thread jack, but I just had a thought about a possible Lady of the Lake. What about Carolee Carmelo? I'm not too familiar with her, but I'm sure she has the pipes to pull it off. Those of you who are familiar with her work, what are your thoughts on this?

She starts on Halloween, along with Jonathan Hadary as Arthur.

I can definitely see her in this role - she was fantastic in Kiss Me Kate.

Amazing as Mother, should've won the Tony, but for those who can't see her in the hysterical role of LOTL, remember her performance in Kiss Me Kate.

Kiss Me, Kate is my favorite musical ever, and Marin's amazing performance had a lot to do with that.
This is the reason I will see Spamalot.

I've seen her in Ragtime, Kiss Me Kate, 110 in the Shade and Brigadoon - four very different roles, and she was fabulous in all of them. This is inspired casting for Spamalot.

Faced with these Loreleis, what man can moralize!

Saw Marin in concert with her hubbby, hottie Jason D last night here in Los Angeles. They were fantastic and she was brilliant...as she always is. Her opening song was a fantastic arrangement of "Maybe This Time" & "Before The Parade Passes By."
