Posted: 11/14/07 at 12:29pmAren't we just assuming that all performances of affected shows are cancelled until further notice? It's not like performances that are supposed to happen are being cancelled. There's no reason to think they WOULD happen if the two sides aren't even negotiating yet.

Posted: 11/14/07 at 12:30pmI don't mean to sound whiney/selfish here, but...I really hope the strike ends soon! I've had my Little Mermaid tickets since this summer!

Well considering that it's almost a week away and they haven't even settles on a time to meet, I wouldn't count on it.
Are we seriously going to have a thread everytime the cancel another block of shows?! There's already a thread with for this within the first few pages of topics.

As bad as it may be, I've been dying to see "Mermaid" for quite some time.

No chance, especially considering the League and union aren't even sitting down again to resume negotiations until Saturday, so all shows through Saturday night have been official cancelled.
And just to confirm that, I got this email a while ago from Telecharge regarding my Friday night tix to AUGUST OSAGE COUNTY:
"Dear Telecharge.com Patron:
You are receiving this email because you have ordered tickets for AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY at the Imperial Theatre for a performance on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, November 15, 16, or 17 2007. We apologize for the inconvenience, but these performances have been canceled due to a strike by the stagehands union. We remain committed to negotiate 24/7 with the stagehands union to resolve this dispute in order to turn the lights back on Broadway as soon as possible.
We would be pleased to assist you in obtaining tickets for an alternate performance. To arrange for tickets please visit our web site, www.telecharge.com or call 212-239-6200. In addition, we will be crediting your account for your tickets (including all service charges) within two business days of the performance."

Posted: 11/14/07 at 9:04pmOkay, I am hoping I don't get the same e-mail as Margo; I have front-row tickets for August: Osage Sunday afternoon at 3! I have already missed Seafarer today...does anybody think there's a chance in hell they'll get it together and settle things in time for Sunday matinees at the end of this week??

Posted: 11/14/07 at 9:07pmThere's a slim possibility that shows may run on Sunday. But I honestly wouldn't expect anything to open back up until Monday at the earliest. These negotiations are gonna be intense, and if they haven't been able to come to an agreement after previous months of talks, I doubt it's gonna happen in one afternoon.
