If you can't say anything good... (CNN/Students on NYC GOP Convention)

This really triggered some thought on my behalf:
http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/04/08/nyu/index.html

From the article: "I think the most effective thing I can do is just really go after the Republicans, because I can't say an incredible amount of good things about Kerry."

I feel like many of you out there [removed "offensive" terminology] who post in anger with liberal beliefs are subscribers to this theory. Is it the most productive though?

NADER 2004. (just kidding)

PS- Happy Easter, Passover, or just plain ol' Happy Weekend. Whatever floats ya' boat.

liberal land...
How is that offensive?
a toungue in cheek reference to a theoretical place.
I would not be offended by someone saying that I reside in the "republican play pen" or "conservo-central"...
well maybe that last one.

I can remove it if you think it clouds the post.
If you think that the post itself is stirring the pot, then I will cease attempting to create discourse about topics which interest me.

You would have thrown a HUGE hissy fit, if any of us "liberals", as you so smuggingly refer to us, would have used that kind of "cutesy" comment.

You also get pissed off when us "liberals" post threads that "attack" Bush or any of his administration.

So, I'm just saying that I no longer feel ANY pity for you when you cry being put upon by threads, arguments, and even low blows.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't post these threads or indulge in debates--I'm saying that you should NEVER bitch about it all anymore.

Dude, I don't understand why you react to this post's "cutesy-ness" like you are. I have always attempted to employ a certain humor to difficult topics. Including our discourse about the current administration.

I would never throw a "hissy fit" over "cutesy" comments... I love those. I just don't like mean, low blow, and angry ones. If you can find an incident where I b*tch about a "cutesy" comment, I would appreciate the chance to apologize for my hypocrisy. I get pissed off only when people insult, debase, or otherwise slam anyone... this includes republicans, democrats, liberals, and even conservatives.

There was NO intent to piss anyone off with this thread.

My reference to "liberal land" is probably because I'm still reeling from the Avenue Q / NYC GOP convention thread over in Main Board Land. Crap, there I go again. It's just the way I write. Apologies if you take it a different way.

I don't intend to group anyone... after all, who knows who I was referring to... perhaps it was just directed to FrontRow.

Seriously. Everyone's a little bit racist. re: re: re: re: If you can't say anything good... (CNN/Students on NYC GOP Convention)

Cool. Perhaps in time, this community will be able to reach a fair exchange of discourse that will make it less likely to get offended by posts that are not meant to offend.

I do have an anyone but Bush attitude right now. Hell, I'd rather see any Republican in office but Bush. But, there is much good about Kerry, so I do not have a problem supporting him. I guess I feel about Kerry the way you do about Bush--can't say I agree 100%, but majority rules.
