I heard this show got mixed reviews at the palace on the West End. Did anyone see it? I heard Michael Crawford was good as the count the music is haunting I cannot wait for the soundtrack coming out soon and maybe to broadway.

Not saying you can't post this here, but you might also want to post on the "West End Board" under "Features".

They haven't said yet whether the CD will be a highlights CD or a double. Apparently, the whole show was recorded on two or three nights so it could be either or both.

People who are familiar with the show speculate that they wouldn't want to include the last scene on a CD because that scene reveals "the secret," wraps up the fate of one of the villains, and ties up all the loose ends in what is, in part, a mystery play----but that might not be a consideration.

I liked The Woman in White. There are a fair number of good tunes in there and the acting and production are brilliant (yes, even the projections!). Count Fosco could be more evil (a Napoleon of crime as in the novel) but Michael Crawford does bring so much-needed light relief to the show.
Sonia Freidman (one of the producers) has said that they are aiming to get it the US 'sooner rather than later' - although that line has been used for numerous productions from The Witches of Eastwick to the RNT My Fair Lady, so don't hold your breath!

As for the cast album, you can sign up to a mailing list through either the RUG website or the Woman in White site to be informed of when it is to arrive. Because of the sheer amount of music I'd expect a double CD release - I hope that they don't leave it irritatingly incomplete as it will make no sense and confuse people if the ending is altered or omitted (for example - the Wicked OBC: most UK fans have no idea what is going on)

I recall hearing recently that ALW is thinking about bringing it over... I don't remember where, tho, or else I'd post a link...

I think its about time he's brought over another show (I'm not counting Bombay Dreams, he only produced that one). Sorry to take the thread in a different direction, but what was his last one? Phantom?

Oh, and for future reference, Count Fosco, it isnt a soundtrack, its a 'cast recording'. Calling it a soundtrack is a touchy subject on the board lol. Just a head's up.
